Why Workplace Wellbeing?

Companies and Organisations are increasingly interested in workplace health and wellbeing. There is a compelling body of evidence that successful organisations tend to have healthy, productive workforces, and employers have a vested interest in reducing absenteeism and increasing productivity by improving the health and wellbeing of their employees.
However, an employers’ commitment to health and wellbeing often goes further than this: many recognise that offering positive health and wellbeing programme to their staff can help to improve staff recruitment and retention, as well as positively contributing to corporate and social responsibility.
Employers increasingly recognise that investing in the health and wellbeing of their staff makes good business sense.

With that in mind, our company offers an exciting initiative to employers and organisations which encourages the promotion of mental, emotional and physical wellbeing to staff within the workplace.

The UK statistics of work-related stress are at an all-time high and continue to grow at an alarming rate. In the UK for the year ending 2015/16, an astonishing 11.7 million days at work were lost due to work-related stress – an average of 23.9 days per case. In 2015/16, stress also accounted for 37% of all work-related illness and 45% of all working days lost to ill health.

In 2017/18 this increased to 15.4 million days lost to work-related stress, depression and anxiety (Labour Force Survey) with an average of 25.8 days lost per case. In total, 57% of all working days lost to ill health were due to stress and anxiety. Commenting on figures, TUC General Secretary Frances O’ Grady says “Work -related stress is a growing epidemic”

I have always worked in the Health and Wellbeing industry – as a Therapist, Teacher, Coach and Mentor. I genuinely love to help people grow and realise their own potential whilst making people feel better about themselves. I founded this company to follow my passion of helping people – specifically in the workplace, so that everyone can access the help and support that they need, deserve and require.

Armed with a clear vision of what the company could offer and a firm belief that we could champion Wellbeing in the workplace, the journey began.
